Description
I suspect this is the trail of a garter snake. We observed one moving across the road a little ways up the road from here shortly before finding this trail. The other likely candidate is a fox snake (also seen nearby). Other snakes in the area are either too small (smooth greensnake, red-bellied snake) or leave very different looking trails (bullsnake, hognose).
