- We are finding these dead all over our complex, usually pink in color. They are about 3/8 inch long, max. Sometimes in great quantities, as though someone dumped a bucket of them. We do not live close to the beach. They are in the community pool, in the planters, on the sidewalks. What are they and why are they here?
