Description

A killdeer out on the dry bed of the vernal pool at the Ballona Freshwater marsh. It was standing at first & then almost disappeared from view briefly as it sat resting or perhaps nesting in a small depression in some dirt. Shortly after that, it stood & flew away from that part of the marsh crying out as it left.
